About Naissus Productions
The Naissus Production Company is a production entertainment agency founded by Bratislav Bata Anastasijević in 1979, with headquarters in the City of Niš, Serbia, specializing in Jazz, Pop, Rock and Blues events.
Naissus Production was the founder of the First International Jazz Festival of the City of Niš in 1981, the second oldest Jazz Festival in Serbia, which continues to be held to this day.
Bata Anastasijević was a jazz icon in Serbia, and he made one of the greatest jazz impacts on the culture of Serbia.
Because of Bata Anastasijević’s distinctions in Serbian culture, several International Festivals in Serbia bestow musicians with the “Bata Anastasijević” award.
When he passed away, his son, Dušan Anastasijević, acting in the capacity of the Director of the “Naissus” International Jazz Festival, and the rest of his family continued their father’s work and reestablished the production entertainment company in 2011.
The Naissus Production Company was responsible for all the production tasks and events of the Jazz Orchestra of the Radio Television of Serbia at the International Naissus Jazz Festival in the National Theater, Army Theater and Symphony Orchestra in the City of Niš and in the City of Aleksinac.
A particularly special event took place when the Jazz Orchestra of the Radio Television of Serbia organized a remembrance day in the Army Theater of Niš in 2018, in honor of Bratislav Anastasijević, on which occasion they performed his works.
Since its foundation, the company has been cooperating with the Jazz Orchestra of the Radio Television of Serbia, City of Niš, SOKOJ, Jazz Association of Serbia, Symphony Orchestra, Cultural Institution of the City of Niš and the Niš Film Festival.
The Jury of the International Naissus Jazz Festival that determines the winners of the “Bata Anastasijević” award is comprised of Dušan Anastasijević, Mirjana Anastasijević, Varvara Anastasijević and Aleksandar Anastasijević.
